Meet Our Therapists

At Inspirational Counseling LLC, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve personal growth and mental wellness. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings; in order to live their authentic lives daily.

Amy's Expertise

Amy supports adults who want practical tools for daily life and deeper healing that lasts, helping clients build coping skills, regulate emotions, and move out of survival mode into a life that feels grounded, empowered, and authentic. She works with concerns including anxiety and chronic stress, depression, trauma and PTSD (including complex and relational trauma), codependency and attachment wounds, ADHD, spiritual/religious trauma and deconstruction, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and somatic (body-based) therapy for nervous system regulation, grounding, and embodiment. Amy also provides relationship-focused support using attachment-based and Imago-informed approaches for clients who feel stuck in recurring conflict, navigating high-conflict dynamics, rebuilding trust and emotional safety, strengthening communication, and breaking unhealthy patterns, as well as those learning to co-parent during or after divorce with clearer boundaries, consistent communication, and a focus on protecting children’s emotional well-being. Amy grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to the South 20 years ago; she has felt drawn to helping others her entire life, shaped by the compassionate example of her father and a belief that people deserve to thrive—not just survive. Her professional background includes work in community mental health systems, inpatient psychiatric units, emergency room psychiatric screening, substance abuse treatment facilities, university-level teaching, nonprofit advocacy supporting LGBTQIA+ rights, and private practice. She is currently pursuing certification in Imago Therapy and is certified in Somatic Therapy as a Somatic Educator for Women, with additional training in attachment theory and art therapy, and her style is supportive, collaborative, and appropriately direct—balancing validation with accountability so clients leave sessions with both hope and a clear plan. Outside the therapy room, Amy finds peace in the outdoors and enjoys exploring mountains and rivers across the U.S., and she’s an avid reader, potter, baker, and lifelong learner who values creativity, growth, and connection.

Christin's Approach

Christin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Alabama who is passionate about helping clients become their best self and build a life rooted in authenticity. She enjoys working with individuals who feel “stuck,” burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they truly are—and who want support in clarifying their identity, strengthening self-trust, and creating a healthier balance between life, work, and enjoyment. Christin believes that sustainable change happens when clients feel emotionally safe, deeply understood, and empowered to make choices that align with their values.

Christin’s clinical style is grounded in a person-centered approach, meaning she prioritizes the counseling relationship and creates an environment where clients can feel comfortable, respected, and supported without judgment. She believes therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are—messy, uncertain, hopeful, guarded, or exhausted—and still feel accepted. She often integrates practical skill-building and insight-oriented work to help clients move from coping to healing, and from surviving to living with intention. As one of her guiding quotes states: “But better to be hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie.” — The Kite Runner (a reminder that real growth often begins with honest self-reflection).

With over a decade of experience serving diverse populations in the local community, Christin brings a strong foundation in real-world problem-solving, advocacy, and systems-based support. Her earlier work as a case manager shaped her ability to understand the full picture of a client’s life—stressors, resources, routines, relationships, and barriers—and helped inspire her transition into life coaching, which she has done for the past five years. Today, she blends that coaching mindset (motivation, goals, accountability, growth) with clinical counseling skills (emotional processing, trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and deeper healing work).

Christin earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Technological University with a focus on exercise science and psychology, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Upper Cumberland University. She is licensed as an LPC in Alabama and is committed to continued training so she can offer evidence-informed care that matches the complexity of real life.

Christin has professional experience supporting children and adolescents (ages 5–18) in school-based settings, as well as adults navigating serious mental illness (SMI), trauma-related concerns, and ADHD. She is certified in ADHD treatment and trained in Attachment Theory, and she is currently pursuing advanced certification in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She also completed specialized internship experience alongside a local sex therapist, helping clients navigate sexual difficulties within relationships, intimacy concerns, and issues related to gender, identity, and sexuality. Christin approaches these topics with sensitivity, professionalism, and an affirming, shame-free lens—creating space for clients to explore what they want, what’s getting in the way, and how to communicate their needs clearly and safely.

Outside of the therapy room, Christin enjoys working on motorcycles and Vespas, listening to live music, fact-finding, spending time in nature, traveling, and enjoying life with her “fur children.”

Christin is currently accepting clients throughout the State of Alabama for both in-person and online counseling.

Jordan's Focus

Jordan is currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is on the path toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist. He serves as a counseling intern at Inspirational Counseling, LLC, where he provides supportive, goal-focused care tailored to each client’s needs, strengths, and personal values.

Jordan also brings a strong behavioral health background to his work through his role in the local school system as a behavioral support professional (RBT/behavior therapy). He has five years of experience supporting individuals within public schools and clinical settings, with a focus on neurodivergent and special needs populations—particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). Jordan is especially passionate about helping clients build practical skills for everyday life, including emotional regulation, coping strategies, executive functioning (organization, planning, follow-through), and healthy relationship skills. His approach is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming—supporting clients in understanding their needs, developing tools that actually work in real life, and building confidence through measurable progress.

As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Jordan provides inclusive, affirming support for clients navigating identity exploration, coming out, relationship concerns, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and the unique stressors that can come with feeling misunderstood or unsupported. He also has a special interest in helping individuals heal from religious trauma and spiritual/religious harm, including those working through spiritual deconstruction, family conflict related to belief systems, and the grief or confusion that can follow major shifts in identity and community.

Jordan’s style is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. He works with clients to clarify goals, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and create sustainable routines that support growth long-term. Flexible scheduling options are available to help therapy fit into real-life demands.

Outside of the counseling space, Jordan enjoys spending time with his fiancée, friends, and family. He loves reading, creating herbal tinctures, and incorporating mysticism into his daily life. He also values community involvement and being part of meaningful, positive change.

Our Approach

At Inspirational Counseling, we help adults move from survival mode into a life that feels steady, authentic, and fulfilling. Many clients come to us overwhelmed by anxiety, depressed mood, trauma responses, relationship stress, or the exhaustion of carrying everything alone. We provide a supportive, structured space to build real-life coping tools while also addressing the deeper patterns underneath—so change is not just temporary, but lasting.

Our team offers trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming care and draws from evidence-based and experiential approaches, including Imago-informed relationship therapy, somatic therapy (nervous system regulation/body-based healing), attachment-based therapy, and art-therapy-informed interventions when clinically appropriate. Whether you’re navigating ADHD, healing from trauma or PTSD, recovering from codependency or narcissistic abuse, or working through spiritual/religious trauma and deconstruction, we’ll meet you with compassion and clarity.

We also support clients facing major life transitions, including high-conflict dynamics, divorce, and learning how to co-parent in ways that protect your peace and your children’s wellbeing. You don’t have to keep pushing through alone—therapy can help you feel grounded, confident, and fully yourself.
