At Inspirational Counseling LLC, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve personal growth and mental wellness. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings; in order to live their authentic lives daily.

Amy Player, MA, LPC-S, LPC-MHSP, National Board Certified Counselor

Amy helps clients learn how to cope on a daily basis, whether it be with their relationships, depression, anxiety, codependency, trauma, PTSD, spiritual/religious trauma, somatic therapy, ADHD and LGBTQAI+

Amy grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, then moved to the South 20 years ago. Helping others is something she has felt drawn to do her entire life. The amazing example of her father is where she learned compassion for all humans. Amy has experience working in the mental health system, inpatient psychiatric units, emergency room psychiatric screening, substance abuse facilities, teaching at the university level, non-profit agencies for LGBTQAI+ rights, and private practice. Amy is in the process of becoming a Certified Imago Therapy and is now certified in Somatic Therapy as a Somatic Educator for Women. Amy holds certifications in attachment theory and art therapy.

Utilizing years of professional and personal experience gives her empathy and compassion for all. Her experience makes her happy to help you recover. She believes each individual should thrive in life and not just simply survive day to day. She takes pleasure in spending time outdoors, exploring mountains and rivers across the US. She is an avid reader, potter, Baker and learner who enjoys being outdoors in any capacity.

Christin Player, MA, LPC

Christin enjoys teaching clients how to be their best self and live a life of authenticity. Christin enjoys working with client clients who want to find their true self and learning how to balance life, work and fun. Christin comes from the person center approach, making the counseling relationship and environment a priority to help clients feel safe and comfortable. “But better to be hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie. Christin has a decade of experience working with a variety of populations in the local community as a case manager which led her to becoming a life coach for the past five years. Christin has a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee Tech in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on exercise science and psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Upper Cumberland University. Christin has a LPC in the State of Alabama. She has spent the last year interning with a local sex therapist, working with clients to help them navigate sexual difficulties in relationships, gender, identity, and sexuality. Christin has worked with Health Connect American in the local schools with kids between the ages 5-18 as well as adults who have SMI, Trauma and ADHD. Christin is in the prcesoss of becoming certified in the treating Obession Complusive Disorder. Christin is certified in the treatment of ADHD and in Attachment Theory.

Christin enjoys spending time working on motorcycles and vespa's, live music, fact-finding, spending time in nature and with her fur children and traveling.

Christin is licensed as LPC, she is

accepting clients throughout the State of Alabama in person and online.

Jordan Stair-Intern

Jordan is currently working on a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health to become a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist.

He currently works as an intern at Inspirational Counseling LLC, as well as working as an RBA in the local school system. He has five years of experience in behavior therapy, serving public schools and clinics for the special needs population, specifically Autism, ODD and ADHD.

He is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. He provides compassionate guidance tailored to your needs and goals, with flexible scheduling options.

In his free time, Jordan enjoys spending time with his fiancée, friends, and family. He enjoys making herbal tinctures, reading and incorporating mysticism in his daily life. He enjoys serving in the community and being apart of positive change.
